    Playground Construction at Fuller Park

    A dedicated Parks Millage was approved by Grand Rapids voters on November 5, 2013. This 7-year millage provides funding for repair, rehabilitation, and new improvements to parks, pools, and playgrounds.

    What's happening now

    Planning for four parks was completed in the fall of 2016 for construction in the summer of 2017. Community meetings were scheduled with neighborhood associations to gain community input on park design and improvements.

    ​Aberdeen Park - Completed concept plan available here.
    Alexander Park - ​Completed concept plan available here​.
    Ball Perkins Park Completed concept plan available here.

    ​​Construction for Aberdeen, Alexander, and Ball Perkins Parks is anticipated to begin July 2017.

    Huff Park - Upgrades to boardwalk, restrooms, and playground. Construction is anticipated to begin October 2017, with anticipated completion in April 2018. Concept plans: Boar​dwalk; Restr​ooms
