We would Love to Have You Visit Us!
The Environmental Services Department offers complete tours of our Water Resource Recovery Facility to third graders (8 years old) and above. Younger groups are offered an indoor presentation which includes a virtual tour. For safety reasons, these younger groups are not offered the outdoor plant tour.  Groups of minors shall consist of no more than 45 students. Each large group of minors must also include a minimum of 3 chaperones (1 for every 15 students).   Due to staffing limitations, only one group may arrive during any two-hour period.  Our goal is to give your group a safe and interesting tour.
Groups should expect a visit to last approximately 1.5 hours.  The tour includes an indoor PowerPoint presentation on the wastewater treatment process followed by an outdoor walking tour of the plant.

Tours are offered free of charge. To schedule a tour please call 311 or email
Boy Scouts can earn a stand-alone FLUSH patch while learning about the importance of water as a  natural resource. A tour will satisfy some criteria for the Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge, Sustainability Merit Badge, and STEM/Nova Award.
