    Ribbon Cutting
    After two construction seasons, Pearl Street has a new roadway, new streetscape, and a new interpretive sign about the history of the Pearl Street bridge. Join us for a ribbon cutting on Friday, October 21 at 4:30 PM at the Grand Rapids Public Museum lawn next to the bridge.
    Project Summary
    ​The Pearl Street Reconstruction opened August 8, 2015. The project included removal and replacement of concrete pavement, utility and drainage work, and sidewalk and street lighting enhancements. Project costs were funded by a federal grant administered through the Michigan Department of Transportation and the City's Vital Streets Fund.
