    Workforce Diversity

    The workforce diversity function is to administer and monitor workforce diversity efforts including but not limited to: increasing and celebrating the City of Grand Rapids' workforce diversity, providing internal employee training on diversity and equal opportunity, providing investigation on internal issues of discrimination and harassment.

    The City of Grand Rapids believes in and relies on racial equity values to eliminate structural racism to ensure equitable opportunities and outcomes in our community now and in the future. ​Our Racial Equity values are committed to promoting a just, fair and equitable future for Grand Rapds. The Draft Grand Rapids Racial Equity Plan outlines activities that include specific work plans for 6 focus areas.
